Counseling Background

I completed a one-year internship in Durham Public Schools at Shepard Middle School where I provided individual and group counseling to grades 6-8. I initiated LGBTQ awareness in my internship leading to being honored with the Galassi-Brown Advocacy Award at UNC. After graduating, I worked in Cabarrus County Schools serving as a high school counselor and transitioned into the Mental Health Counselor for the district's Impact program.

Previously, I was a psychometrist for an outpatient rehabilitation facility working alongside neuropsychologists. I also served as Interim Research Manager for ASU's Human Performance Lab, collecting and analyzing data for research, while providing health coaching to individuals based on research.
